I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to sense of string of light in the future. 2022 is set to be an extraordinary year, packed with releases and live events. At least as it appears at the moment here in Sweden. That also counts for pbhmedia – we have loads of fun stuff coming up. Here’s the last release of February, the band 1984 in quite new dresses 😉
Mirko Hirsch is a German musician, singer, songwriter and producer. He’s been releasing music since 2010 and besides his own songs he has written, arranged and remixed artists like Ken Laszlo, Trans-X, Albert One, Fred Ventura, Italove and Linda Jo Rizzo. And now the time has come for 1984. His style is partially influenced by melodic rock / AOR music of the 1980s, and you may also hear echoes of the contemporary synthwave / retrowave sound in his remix of Shout It Out. >> Mirko Hirsch on Bandcamp
SCALA is also based in Germany, but is the moniker of Swedish musician, songwriter and producer Peter Johansson. In late 2019 he entered a remix contest staged by the band 1984. His version of Synthpop och filmen G was chosen for vinyl release and it also became the start for the SCALA concept. Following additional remixes for acts like Vogon Poetry, Uncreated, Electric City Cowboys and Projekt Ich – and a couple of own releases, he’s now back where it started. But the remix of Shout It Out (together with the unheard Metallwerk), turned out quite unexpected. >> SCALA on Bandcamp
